After the recent round of “your TV is spying on you” news, I thought I’d attempt to get off using my Sony (running Android TV) and switch to something that I had a bit more control of. Unfortunately, the TV remote control interface is super smooth and is hard to lose. I recently got the final piece of the setup I made and am now pretty damn happy with it. Here’s the steps I took to jump to something more custom, and how it went.
